[ukvac] Plea for technical help
I have two space taito invaders cabinets which have been completely gutted,
but the artwork on the sides and fron is in pretty good condition. I have
managed to source one piece of front glass from the states but need another.

I want to restore one cabinet and mame the other (I know I'll get some abuse
for that ...)

There are two monitors in the cabinets at the moment, which arent original
and I have no idea of they are working.

What I was wondering is :

1) does anyone have any of the following they would be willing to sell :
- space invaders front glass
- space invaders control panel (taito joystick version)
- space invaders monitor
- any other bits to make it go !

2) does anyone live near St Albans and is willing to come to my house and
see if the monitors are working, and if not repair them and help me connect
one of them to a pc. I would happy to pay for this, as I really dont have a
clue where to start and the internet sites I have looked at have scared me
shitless with all the stuff about how easy it is for an idiot like me to
kill myself if playing about with monitors.

I hope some one can help !

An activity worthy of praise!

Too right you'll get abuse! If you just want some wood to make a MAME PC
Cab then I'll get you a JAMMA cab!
Please don't do it!

Even the worst of cabs can be saved, its just how much effort it will take!
