These arrived yesterday from HOG.. and originally from Trocadero. a couple of years a go they'd had the old monitors replaced with Polo2's so they are burn free.. which is nice.

Tonight they were pushed in to place and turned on tonight to test. The monitors still need a bit of a tweak but I'll sort that when I can actually play them. But thankfully everything checked out fine.
Found a full set of locks for both in the coin box too so fitted those.

large sections have been resprayed, but a flatter grey than the original metallic grey so I'm going to look at putting them back to how they were... or as close as I can.

no. he said he's keeping 4. which I guess is all he has left now. but it didn't matter to the customers whether it was a pony or an astro and he needed some funding to upgrade the PC room.

I have one setup and up and running in Horizontal mode.
Very very happy with it.
The second one is for vertical goodness but still WIP and not functional as yet.
Slightly concerned that 28" vertical is too large for gameplay.

thanks for the files :)

today I also picked up some Rustoleum "Satin Nickel - Metallic" spray

It seems a pretty good match for the original colour. Just a bit bigger particles. I tested it on the front of the coin box and it went on well.

Much better than the matt grey the front is currently sprayed.

Oh nice - I will eventually have all mine powder coated white. Hitesh has made an excellent job of his and I hope to see them in the flesh when I get down his neck of the woods one day soon.

Decided to tackle the crappy matt grey today... On one at least.
As you can see from this pic they have at some point had the front sprayed grey.... It was obviously done without stripping the cab down as it's not grey on any of the internals or sides.
I guess it was the quickest way for the arcade to get them looking presentable and earning money..

They will (next winter) get stripped down properly and powder coated, but for the moment I figured all I need is to do to get them looking nice again is to colour match the original paint and go over the grey.

That's one down and one to go.
It's a very close colour match has gone on very nicely blending in to the original paintwork almost seamlessly.
I'll give it a couple of days to dry fully before shifting it and doing the second one.
