DRIVING LICENSE IS A CLASS EXAMPLE

Imagine every driver who renews at 10 yrs , passes their test or gets points , or moves house or women changing married name all queuing up at Swansea to deliver or receive in person and at 20mph too the whole road network of the midlands and south wales would be gridlocked every day except over Xmas!

Then trying to park near the location and find the appropriate postcoded letterbox or office at DVLA

And DOCUMENTS includes v5c log books to car registration and ownership details at same place too ….. but can be on line now ?

Aside from obvious dangerous or dodgy items the list makes a nonsense of using any post or courier as stated in the topic!

I was looking to buy a joystick from the States in eBay. The International Shipping covered practically every country bar the U.K. He couldn't understand why. Took it up with eBay customer service and they just said it didn't comply with U.K. import regs so couldn't list it. WHAT A FARCE.

He relisted it as DZ joy, and it went through okay, and now shipped.

Yeah, I noticed this as well. Basically anything that is arcade related is also ‘barred’ from eBay’s Global Shipping to the UK. I read somewhere it’s to do with things not complying with the new UKCA rules (not that it can anyway since it’s vintage items and not kids toys). No idea if this is actually true or the case. It sounds to me as eBay are being ridiculously over cautious.

The way around it is to use a forwarding shipper like MyUs. So far, I’ve not have any import issues doing it this way.

Spent the whole morning looking at all couriers, comments on web about posting spray cans which all say aren't allowed but many sellers posting them through Evri.
Only bought 2 cans for my Log Burner at beginning of year which were posted but I can't remember who delivered them

Problem is you just can't hide the sound of a rattle can:LOL: your okay to post Hair Spray though and deodorant etc o_O

I don’t think it’s an issue with eBay’s GSP as I have sold joysticks , whole control panels, pcbs, and loads of fruity power supplies and other odd bits listed eBay ‘arcade parts’ all via GSP to Sweden Norway, Holland, Belgium, Hungary, Denmark, France, & Ireland , all EU , tho don’t recall any going USA? Or Australia? , so it’s perhaps UK customs for imports that is the hurdle? Is that what UKCA stands for?

@Phils Arcade ……
If you really need an arcade standard joystick tho I have loads of used ones here as do several ukvac members I would think? Unless it’s for a Gorf or other flight simulator style ones with integral fire buttons? Etc.

But if you eventually got it then alls well but it is a pain with overseas parts, coming here ,

I once ordered a rare Gottlieb pinball coil from USA and the import charges via Royal Mail were £44.00 and the coil was only £8.00 (well 2for £16, shipped, ) so I bought two What a sting that was !!!!
