hi all..

I know its a long shot, but does anyone have a MAK supergun and a
Primal Rage pcb? I just sold one to a guy in Germany and he's telling
me that none of the inputs are responding at all. Atari in their
infinite wisdom made primal rage jamma, but the audio is not routed to
the edge connector, so not strictly speaking proper jamma, and i was
wondering if the MAK superguns' control inputs ground is taken from
the edge connector maybe at the far end and atari hasn't (for whatever
reason) made this gnd common with the other grounds? if they can bodge
up the audio, wouldn't surprise me if the rest of the jamma connector
wasn't true jamma by having all grounds common.. either that or the
mak suprgun takes its control ground from the audio ground or the
video ground which may or may not be hooked up on the pcb either...

So has anyone experienced similar problems with MAK superguns or
have any suggestions?

thanks..

If its anything like the ones we ripped apart before we started
building our own, then the power connectors are only attached to the
top of the jamma connector, they are also not mirrored, so -ve is
only pin 1 not 1,28,29,56 (or whatever the pin numbers are) Lots of
atari games have problems because they get there voltages from the
other side of the board etc the one that springs to mind is Rolling
Thunder. should have used an arcade heaven supergun ;) LOL
