Hey,

Is there any value in the PS3 20gb? Am I right in thinking that they are the backward compatible model?

Also does anyone know what type of PSU I can use on an NTSC SNES? Will it work on a UK TV?

Thanks

The 20gb ps3 should be fully backwards compatible. I think if you have 4 USB ports on the front and the flap on the left opens up, you are good to go with regards to ps2 games. The main disadvantage is the lack of WiFi on that model. Well that and the high failure rate unfortunately.
As for value I'm not sure as they seem to be a lot less common than the 60gb ones (in fact I don't think it was released in Europe?) .

Edit: the 20gb doesn't actually have the flap for memory cards or 4 USB ports. But if the model is CECHB it's backwards compatible Astrix2021-03-09 14:12:57

Thanks for that, my son mentioned to me about the backward compatibility but I wasn't too sure. I will try and do a bit more research.

if its a 20gb model then its a japanese one.
Pal didnt get a 20gb model only the 60gb was backwards compatible PAL.

If its is japanese then it will only play jap ps2/ps1 games and will not have wifi

and being fair wont go for much for that reason.

I used to have one years ago and they are noisey as hell.

ull need an ntsc power supply or i think u should be able to buy a self regulating power supply for the snes ( ntsc )

Wow, thanks for all the info. My son confuses me with all this stuff. Atleast I've learnt something now and hopefully won't look too stupid when I talk to him about this.
