Better late than never, when I joined I was asked to put up some pics of what I had, one thing I've realised with this hobby there will always be something in the pipeline so rather than hang on any longer here is a quick video of some of the cabs up & running in a new space I've made.

I've another 6 to shift in, mostly big ones like gunblade & silent scope, I'll shift those in along with some new purchases that will hopefully be here soon like brave firefighters, full size op wolf & 2 from forcefulfil's op clearance megadeals & update the video.

Oh yes, appologies for the video quality, I dropped my camera a few months ago so am making do with the ipad.

Jon, Thanks, glad you like it as it stands, I rckon we can squeeze some more in there
smiley36.gif
Just spent a couple of hours on f355 & the mvs cab.

Strykr, haha, your right I do like the big cabs although f355 was a pain having to strip it all down to squeeze it in throught the front door, Yes, Badlands is a great game & one you must be very good at to hold the world record, pedals on mine need some attention & the monitor is a bit fizzy but I'm pleased ith it.

Tony, Thank you

the lovelyness is set up in an empty shop next to where I work in a town called Gainsborough, it's not ideal as I live about 10 miles away so I can't just have a quick blast on something on an evening but at least there is no space problems, tbh the shop needs to go & be replaced with a small unit somewhere to save overheads in particular crippling business rates & that will make getting big cabs in easier as well

That's an awesome little arcade that you're putting together there Indy! Will there be any opportunity to visit it in the future, or will it remain completely private to you? Would love a blast on the Power Drift, not played that since the early 90's on a cab and MAME just doesn't quite have the same effect
smiley36.gif

Well done anyway, you're a credit to all things arcade-y

Cheers sir, glad you like things so far

No they are there to share, I'd love to organise a little meet up at some point in the future, Power Drift was my first cab purchase & probably would be last to go if I had to sell them, love all the classics from Sega, shame they hardly ever come up for sale though.

Awesome news! I'll watch out for the invite thread in the new year then.

That is really good, I didn't think anyone would be willing to travel that far tbh for what I have to offer, mind you Leeds isn't too far, I used to go m62, m18, m180, a161 I used to go to near Morley quite a lot & as long as it wasn't peak time you could do it in under an hourish, there are some ongoing projects to finish & some new purchases paid for now so the arcade can only improve as well.

Thanks for the positive vibes

I'm happy to travel far and wide to relive happy memories of the days gone by! I drove down to London a couple of weeks ago to visit Chuckie Egg's awesome Nintendo arcade, so Gainsborough's merely a stone's throw away compared to that!

It's ironic that you used to go to Morley because I live just at the bottom end of Morley in a little village called Churwell. Small world eh!

fantastic puts my man shed to shame love to come and have a blast

Nothing wrong with a man shed & a cab or two, I'm lucky with the space job, if I had to keep things at home then I wouldn't be able to have so many & certainly wouldn't be able to look in the for sale sections
smiley36.gif

Yes, looks like a meet up is on the cards so of course your welcome, I know a couple of others from Leicester via Utube who are wanting to make the trip over as well

Amazing set up there Indy.
smiley20.gif
Have you only been collecting them since you signed up here in July? If so that's some pretty good going dude.

So Gainsborough you say?
smiley2.gif
I just checked on route planner and I'm just over an hour away from you (just East of Hull myself). I'd certainly be up for a trip over at some point to check this lot out and meet some fellow enthusiasts.

I also spent a fair amount of time in Morley in my youth.

BITD I used to frequent the Orbit (at the Afterdark nightclub) on a regular basis. Was the best night out in the country as far as I was concerned - went to loads any loads of clubs, raves etc all over the country back in the early 90s and nothing ever came close to the atmosphere in there.

Thanks Paulie, another member from Leeds as well, may be worth a trip over in the new year

Thanks neo-geo-mvs, yes it is nice to listen to the sounds of the classic games & transport ourselves back in time, I'd be over the moon if any arcades had 2 or 3 older cabs instead of fruities, pushers & redemptions
smiley6.gif

Thanks bbz, I keep adding a few bits but am trying to be more selective now, some of the cabs I would really like have yet to show up for sale since I've been around, would love a dedicated track & field, I did like the zac one on ebay but ended up a few hundred more than I would pay sadly.

Cheers Frothmeister, I had a spell of buying about 3 years ago where I picked up 8 or 9, then I ran out of space so never bought anymore & put some into a storage container I had, someone then wanted the container so I wheeled them out, plugged some in & was bitten by the arcade bug again
smiley36.gif
I then did some searching & found the forums as last time they were all ebay purchases, I get the feeling it will be downhill all the way now
smiley36.gif

Great, again nice to hear of so much enthusiasm for a meet up, I loook forward to it
