I've a good few rare cabs now;

Sega Holosseum

Williams Blaster (duramold)

Williams Defender (prototype)

Williams Hyperball

Williams Turkey Shoot

Exidy Death Race (@vic still going strong!)

Centuri Challenger

Centuri Locomotion

Centuri Munch Mobile

Centuri Rip Off (cocktail)

Centuri Tunnel Hunt

Gameplan Killer Comet

Gameplan Megatack

Atari Liberator

Atari Fast Freddie (Euro)

Midway Trog

Midway Tron (cabaret)

SNK The Irritating Maze

Taito Zeke's Peak

Nintendo Sheriff (cocktail)

At no point do I remember you saying, "Hey, Rich, I have a Tunnel Hunt and Death Race that you can come and play any time you like". Weird, because I can't think of a reason why you wouldn't.

I have had several video hybrids born into surrogate parentage...

examples are two I still own in 'video world' black ash cabaret cabs Phoenix and Super Break Out the Phoenix has dedicated CP & Glass ……..

I also had a Streets (Williams) 'Defender' with dedicated glass and CP in one of these VW cabaret cabs and was First owner from NEW with that one... after about 8 weeks of trying to play past level 3 Williams released a program issue memo to either remove and discard ROM 5 of the 12 ROMS or send it back for re-prog to Williams USA not wishing to do the latter the game worked fine with their advice to remove rom 5. I think it was something to do with smart bombs and escape warps having a direct crash location, on screen? I was told at the time, early 80s

and probably a few rare ones I don't mentally recall tho a favourite I owned that was quite unusual, was a 'Snap Jack' by Universal iirc

But for actual rarity I would say two very rare PINBALLS owned in the past, a Recel ; 'SEA SCARE' & a LlobregatSA 'DIG A STAR' both of which were e/m

just a note some RECEL e/m pinballs would never ever pass a PAT test nowadays I think due to the way they were wired back back in the 70s.. only had a 2 core supply cable and that was black and black a/c wired to the transformer ..and quite lethal to play barefoot on concrete floors but OK with decent shoes on !!!!

@Alpha1 - your list includes Starblade (Shouldn’t it be in the Namco section of your mega list?) - what’s this cab look like? Is it an upright? Never seen one, love the game

Yup, I have a mostly complete Space Firebird boot, lovely side art - missing marquee, and has another board in it.

You can see a bit of it in the Tempest photo I put on the Arrivals thread yesterday or day before.

Nice one, not much can be seen in that pic, hope you get round to restoring it one day

Taitel Juno First cabinet. Can’t find a trace of it on google, other than the artwork Muddy reproduced for me.

I should imagine it is similar to the Taitel Gyruss and Mad Planets. There were a few pictures of a partial Mad Planets around but I think they were on Jamma+. I have the Taitel Gyruss but they are quite common.

I still have the 'ol star rider, that is probably fairly rare in the UK these days, so rare in fact I have two :)

DoT upright maybe.

I had a starhawk though that went to a museum.

Ha yeah I was going to mention my DoT upright as well but I really wasn't sure if it counts as there are a few around!
smiley36.gif

Indeed. I suppose I could do the old chin rubbing routine and say "yeah, well, it is a 'genuine' UK market DoT UR, not an import" :)

I'll throw mad planets into the ring instead.

My personal fave so far irrespective of rarity is the crazy Monaco GP cocktail table.

And remember game players: rare != good
