[ukvac] Re: Tech: Voltages & 1942 troubles (sorry, getting long)
Well.... i realise that this is the flipside to what we're up to
here, and in fact i quite enjoy the troubleshooting side of things,
but it's more than a little frustrating when boards go as it's
something i know nothing about (just being a humble programmer!)
More to the point, what's really getting to me is shelling out for
boards that are sold as 100% working and finding that they're not....
To be fair, this one was for a few hours before going ping (or rather
not going anything!)
If someone is willing to spend the time/effort i (and i'm sure many
others) would love to get some knowhow on what to do with logic
probes and all that jazz (?) to suss out board problems. I for one
would pay money to someone for this knowledge too...
As i say, i'm a programmer, have a mind for problem solving and i'm
sure would understand it, just need some guidance to get me going,
then i could say "sod it" and just fix the things (where possible)
when it all goes pear shaped!!
Least then i would have something to do after an extremely dull day
(sometimes) ;o)
Guddler.
