Weirdly I missed out on it in the 90s. Maybe it was one of them that was £16 on VHS like Dominican tank Police for 22 minutes worth!? 3x3 Eyes was fantastic, wish I'd kept my VHSs but gave them to the charity shop. Might have said before on some other thread, set the video recorder on long play record Channel 4 at midnight to 6am and see what turns up next morning! Jackie Chan Operation Condor, Urotsukidoji (probably spelt that wrong!), Toxic Avenger. Good times 😍
Yeah your right about Neon Genesis Evangelion , it cost me roughly around £16 on VHS and there was only two episodes, so it was very expensive to get all 26 episodes including the director's cut episodes. I used to do the same, setting the video recorder on long play record Channel 4 at midnight to 6am and see what turns up next morning, I think the last time did it I got Blood: the Last Vampire in 2000. Definitely good times back then, I'm actually in the process of upgrading where possible my anime from DVD to Blu-Ray, so as and when I do if you want anything I will let you know if you want?

I would be interested in any "left overs" thanks. Mainly interested in Gundam and Berserk DVDs if you have any individual volumes rather than the box sets. Sorry for hijack

Re Story of Ricky, I’ve still got a HK copy from the 90s on DVD but unfortunately 4:3 letterbox. You can’t zoom as then the subs are off the bottom.

Hi all

At the moment Iam just watching a really good new tv series called Tokyo Vice, it set in late 90's Tokyo and its about an American journalist working for the biggest Japanese newspaper in the country investigating the yakuza (based on a true story by the way). An, the latest episode shows a yakuza playing street fighter 2 in an arcade with his brother, love seeing all those machines:love:Untitled-3.jpgUntitled-2.jpgUntitled-1.jpg

If you can get over the acting in a few of the early episodes, Fool Me Once on netflix was a pretty decent yarn.... also features Arcade Club Bury 😂

Can't lie we really struggled for two episodes because I just couldn't take to some of the acting in it, but it's worth persevering with, not that long either I suppose.

So in a fit of total randomness, put the first episode of "Chicken Nugget" on the other night.

If you like completely off the wall, close to unexplainable humour and randomness, or it's that crazy/bad it's good... it may be for you 🤣

Constellation and Foundation on Apple+ are great if you like Sci-fi. Invasion is pretty good as well.

Star Trek Strange New Worlds and Picard on Paramount+

What We Do in the Shadows is very funny - iPlayer
