Just thought it would be good to have a thread for all them lower budget downloadable games for the console market.
Some of you chaps have been mentioning some PS4/XBone titles.

You don't really have much of an option yet with the nextgen machines, talk last gen or PC and it's a different story.

Resogun is currently FREE (normal price £12.79) on PS4 if you sign up with Playstation Plus, (which you need to play online anyway, so you may as well get the best shooter on the system for free at the same time!)

Seriously I cannot recommend this enough. It's 'Defender' on crack.

Yeah, PS+ is PlayStation's version of XBLive. With PS3 you could online game for free but this time round on PS4 they wanted a slice of the pie so you have to pay. There's more to it than just online play though. The "Instant Game Collection" is actually pretty inspired. Certain games are free each month and while it's never the latest games, I've been a member for 2 months now and have snagged enough to keep me going for far longer than I actually have!

The downside is that when your subscription lapses, so do your free games. I don't know if they stay on your system and re-activate if you resubscribe but from what I've seen so far, I doubt it. We downloaded a PS Vita game for Shaz but forgot to copy it from PS3 to PS Vita. By the time we remembered to copy it to the Vita it was no longer on the free offer and therefore wouldn't let us install it. So that kinda shows they're being pretty on the ball and unforgiving with it.

Worth it though IMO, especially if you have PS Vita as well...

Yes they re activate when you subscribe again.
It covers all sony systems too,ps3 ps4 ps vita so you get free games for all systems every month.

Not really an indie title but I played Halo: Spartan Assault last night on the XO. Did some of the co-op missions with a friend. Probably the most fun I've had on the system so far. It was really cool, reminded me a bit of Gauntlet. I think the co-op portion of the game is the best part though, the single player is a bit repetitive and the micro transactions are ridiculous which seems to be a worrying trend for this generation!
My favourite indie title of the last generation though is Journey. Absolutely stunning game!!!!floodito2014-01-05 13:05:51

I had no problems doing this yesterday with a game stored on the PS3 from last months offers.
