I've been thinking for a while now on how to best store all the info I've got on cabs, monitors, power supplies, etc...
It's all on scraps of paper, schematic sheets in the house, the attic, shed and/or workshop. I've a load of web links for various parts and info, but when you are actually looking for something you end up giving up, or on the hunt, yet again, searching the web.
I'm an app designer/programmer, designing mostly for Apple phones, tablets, and their newer computers. To this end I thought about designing an app to help me organise all this, and over Christmas started looking at chassis providers, arcade cab manufactures, etc... and getting some sort of list sorted. Last month I took the plunge and started coding in the evenings.
You don't realise the sheer number of companies producing cabs, games, etc, not including bootlegs. It will probably mainly be a quick access to images and PDFs of the schematics and operating manuals for now. Think as I work on something I'll add it to the right, hopefully, section. I've got 21 manufactures for arcade chassis and 697 for cab/games. Searching for the graphic logos of the companies as it looks so much nicer
Here's a few pics so far. Not much to go on, but it's a start:
