Anyone else visited the Live Publishing website lately...?

Retro Gamer magazine has been purchased by Imagine Publishing. Issue 19 will be published in December.

Great news, wish Future had got it in some ways, but at least it is to continue...
Wonder how many of the original staff will be working on it?

Darren who was the Editor from the retro section of GamesTM is doing it,
£4.99 without no silly cover mounted disc this time around, which is good
news all around.

Was very impressed by Imagine, got a letter saying as I was a subscriber,
though not to them, they will give me the first 3 issue for free.

Future have enough of the magazine market already.

Will people who sub'd to teh original mag get their sub moved over? I'm owed at least 8 issues I think.

Its a different company with no obligations, so the full sub won't be honoured. You should get a letter this week telling you what you're due -

most subscribers seem to be getting the maximum 3 issues, though some whose subs were running out are only getting one or two. All in all

its fairly generous I think. I'll be resubscribing anyway, I always liked Darran's RetroTM section anyway. No word of whats going to happen with

that yet.
