Retro Six repairs

Just wonderering if anyone has any experience of dealing with Retro Six, regarding console repairs? I have a PC Engine DUO that crashes when playing CD-ROM games (HuCards play fine), so am looking to get it repaired, as I know nothing about the hardware on these.

Is it having issues reading discs causing crashes, I'd try cleaning laser lens if you haven't done already, i tested 2 naomi gd rom drives that didn't work, quick clean all good again

other issues with CD stuff depending on drive mech type can be grease drying up and don't move so easy

I only bought it recently and it's been serviced, re-capped, lens calibrated etc. I did try cleaning the lens but still crashes.

When it crashes, I usually get corrupted graphics on-screen, and once it was like it had lost sync. Could some kind of CD drive fault cause this kind of fault?!

Could be lazer gain , But if its been serviced and calibrated (Calibrated may be same as Gain ??) you would think it be fine.

I remember him selling quite a bit of modded PC Engine stuff, but didn't know if he does repairs/mods for others. He doesn't seem to have been around much, lately. I'll pop him a PM, anyway. Cheers.
