Can anyone recommend a good, passive RGB SCART splitter, one with at least two inputs?

I don’t need anything fancy. I used to have a Banridge 5-way and thought there was a 3-way but haven’t come across any online, but ideally don’t want a powered one anyway.

Seen lots on eBay/Amazon but knowing my luck, they’ll be cheap trash!

Thanks for any advice.

+1 for the RGC one, but yes, it's a bit pricey. You need one that isolates the selected port from all the others, otherwise you can get interference from the other devices plugged in, even if they're not switched on.

I went with a Mad Catz one, looks to have selector switch for each input, so hopefully a nice, clean signal.

Yeah the madcatz have worked fine for me. Even daisy changed a couple. Occasionally you have to re-seat the rgb cable as the picture went green/green streaks but this could be from me having all the consoles connected and on at the same time!! From now on, I'll just put one console on at a time, hopefully that'll resolve the occasional issue.

You have to manually flick to the console you want.

A cheap solution. The RGC 621 looks good but costs £60 + VAT + P&P. Too much for me at the moment and only 2 extra ports compared to the madcatz. Madcatz only retailed at £20 new and so will stick to them for now.

I know a lot of time and effort goes into modern solutions for retro gaming, but I’m shocked at how expensive it all is these days (e.g. RetroTink 4K).

Just wanted a decently-priced bit of old tech, so thanks for all the help locating one.

I want to have more kuato_lives attitude, I get sucked into the internet hype where only RGB is tolerated. I didn't care about that back in the day playing on a crappy 14" CRT.

Ahh, I’m a 60hz RGB SCART or nothing OCD nut! Never forgotten when I had my first import 60 hz Jap MD in ‘89 and seeing Golden Axe in glorious RGB compared to previous RF fuzz! :giggle:

Anyway, just bought a Madcatz as well so I’ll report back too.

As promised reporting back. I got mine yesterday in the post - A Mad Catz as recommended by Neo-Geo-MVS as above and it's perfect. £15 posted and works a treat, genuinely no picture degradation or any cross contamination (if such a thing exists!).

Great little thing and sure beats fishing about the back trying to stick it in...although 30 years of muscle memory makes it not too bad.

Just a quick update on this Mad Catz splitter. Cannon Fodder on the Amiga core was missing music (lyrics) and sfx when connected via the splitter, but fine when the SCART was plugged straight into the TV. Don’t know if this is my settings or a limitation of the splitter.

Any ideas?
