Innards of the RGP SWCP, surprising how noisy these vector monitors can be during operation (especially at this hour!), reminds me of an old reel movie projector;

I just need to connect that Yoke Controller for a quick game.....

I've been praising Nad via email over the last few months for all the hard work he's done and in the difficulties of time The monitor was a complete biatch to sort out but it's there in the end.

I honestly can't say thank you enough. There's been a few points of frustration, especially with Thunder Child asking "is it fixed yet, is it fixed yet" that i've nearly thrown the towel in, and seeing TRM's posts this weekend with his successes on achieving higher scores has made me realise just exactly how much I love this game. I don't care that it's one heck of a flaky game to keep running and by the design, the vector monitor is doomed to blow its deflection now and again because of the death-star explosion etc but it's not the hassle, it's the love of the arcade that keeps me going.

So, Nad, when can it come home?

NAD ROCKS!

Excellent work dude! Is the sound PCB to-be-fixed or just removed for scope access?

Hi Tim - Yes I removed it for some troubleshooting so I could access the whole side.

Well done on fixing it

What was wrong with the monitor? It looked very poorly the last time I was round

Ben - It was a whole raft of problems, seems like stuff just kept failing. Over time though, you become more familiar with the circuits and can usually guess where the problems are.

Sheesh, where do I begin? Anything specific?

Nice work Nad!

You need a bigger work bench though.

That much is certain, even yours looks more accommodating.

Poo RGP must be sick of me asking 'Is Star Wars fixed yet?'.

For sure, I think it was like the old 'Are we there yet???'

Plans are being drawn as we speak, as soon as you return home and available one evening.

I am now back in the North West, I will be geo-stationed approx 2 miles from your HQ location tomorrow evening if you could make time for a coffee, if not, I will be at RGP Lair from Wednesday evening onwards.
