From the end of last month until now I still have 4 parcels outstanding for items purchased on ebay.

Nothing expensive or special (magazines, vhs, dvd, scart lead) but they haven't arrived.

I've seen postal receipts proving they've been sent. The only thing in common was they were sent 2nd class without tracking/signed for.

I've been to the sorting office and they have checked for the parcels, but nothing.

So where is my stuff? WTF!!

Bought tons of stuff online and only had a few things going missing over 20+ years but now suddenly 4 things in a month!!

Do you think some dodgy staff are dumping stuff that has no tracking?

It makes no sense to me. Bring back a decent high street please with selection and good prices

I’ve not experienced any issues with RM around my area.

Not sure why people still use the standard 2nd class service for sending parcels, when Tracked 48 is cheaper, has far higher compensation and of course includes tracking.

All my tracked stuff arrives quick, but where is my untracked stuff??

I've always relied on them but although the items are nothing special to most people and are worth under £6 each, I want them still

Yeh i use that 48hr tracking one and its prety good. Its not a fully tracked service it just says Its collected and then says when its been delivered as apose to showing you every stage. Still had a few on that not show up but its rare. I repaired a board for a guy on here during lockdown he sent it and it never showed up (Not royal mail) he got his money back but as you said not the point !! Was a Wrestlefest and fairly rare.

Dave.

I've had eBay stuff take a couple of weeks to arrive by RM. Chatting to my postie, he says they're struggling to keep staff, and they can't even do a daily delivery. I wondered why all my post seemed to arrive all at once, and then get nothing for days. He also said first class is meaningless now. To guarantee quick delivery, we need to send things tracked.

Royal Mail are trying to get the 6 day letter delivery Universal service obligation reduced to save money and make more profits. We get letters about once or twice a week now but parcel deliveries are Monday to Saturday.
Posties I know tell me that loads of long term staff have left / RM have a high turnover of new starters because they've increased delivery sizes and have made workload impossible to complete, so anyone new just leaves after a couple of weeks. Typical story of privatization in the name of competition ( all lies). As a result quality of service nose dives off a cliff

Sorry to hear about your issues. To be honest ive
not had any issues with Royal Mail, friendly postmen that mostly have a smile on their face and always happy to hide my larger post behind bins etc when I’m out. Guess like anything depends on location and staff doing their jobs, I may be one of the lucky one’s

I have a great postie, couldn’t be more helpful in terms of putting deliveries in my conservatory etc, I see him pretty much every day. my daughter however says she now only gets deliveries from Royal Mail twice a week and stuff takes ages to come so not sure what the hell is going on!

I've had a couple of items not arrive, just blurays or other low price stuff lately, also seems case when not tracked, have had odd buyers saying they didn't get items if not posted with tracking, maybe some just didn't get them, then some items have took like 10 days or more to arrive

Quite a few times I've had parcels given me and its for a neighbour, so stuff could be delivered to the wrong house, I don't get many issues just odd ones now and again, the biggest issue with ebayers is they can't describe things properly, Bluray box set last week with cardboard type cover, said light creasing on front, well when someone has put paper on the top of it and scribbled all over it and indented with the biro marks and you can read words in it, that's hardly how you would describe light creasing, unless the moron was trying to get the pen working and did it before posting, who knows

I noticed that with mine and other half. they save the stuff for a day or 2 and then bring a few things at once, it's been like that for a year or 2 now

She asks her's questions and they say similar, not enough people, if her regular one is on holiday, she sometimes hasn't got any parcels for the time he was off and he brings it all when back

Yes our postie is really good but the service seems to stack stuff like others say. Although I used tracked that can be crap incoming to me.
Ordered a 48 hour item weds last week arrived yesterday. When I sell console stuff on ebay I always send it tracked. I think the 48hour tracked also adds extra insurance but please check tha, as did a hard drive for a member last week.

Same thing here. We get no post for days and then lots turn up all at once.
We're not in a remote area either. It must be some sort of cost saving exercise.

Sad to hear problems. I am postie and things are not 100%, Tracked is now delivered by additional teams as I am one of them, the traditional signed for/2nd class is done by your regular postie. With regular post the Ofcom fines are expected, targets not being hit. New CEO is here too.

Yeah, I'm like 5 mins from the main Sorting Office as well

I had a buyer of some blurays last year claim they hadn't received them, message was these item's didn't arrive as they have been delivered to wrong address. she was 4 mile away and sorting office is in the middle of us both, I checked the tracking number, my mistake I'd added the wrong one so found correct one, checked it with the RM site, was only sent small parcel and using the number they provide shows it was delivered to there road, I uploaded the correct tracking and replied and said you expect RM to loose a parcel when the sorting office is 2 mile from me and 2 mile from you, tracking says you had it, called em a scammer and they looked it on facebook, spoke to ebay and got the case closed
