Just got my first scam text claiming to be from Royal Mail and asking me to pay a fee to reschedule delivery. I'm not expecting any parcel so knew it was a scam. Just a heads up if you are waiting for something to be delivered.

Cheers. I've had this a couple of times now and so have my folks.

Be careful

Yeah I had one of these at the weekend.

I almost fell for it too, as I am expecting a few parcels from overseas. But the wording was clearly off, and the domain wasn't owned by Royal Mail.

Thanks for the heads-up though.

Yeah I had two of these texts as well. Was expecting a delivery and paid my £1.99 charge from the supplier but then this text came up and I thought the sender had not paid so contacted the website who informed me it was a scam.

I had the DHL payment required and the HSBC payment setup scam texts at the weekend as well.

Plus a couple of the usual HRMC scam calls to my company phone.

Not had the internet being cut off or virus on PC calls recently.

Thinking of cancelling my landline as now My rents have got a mobile phone and Echo show 5 the only calls I get are telemarketing and scams.

I assume with Brexit and the £15 import limit for "Gifts" being removed loads of people are getting bills for VAT/Duty etc so makes it easier for the scammers....

Landlines are a joke now and people ditching them altogether is rising rapidly. 90% of my calls are scam/sales calls but I can't ditch it as my mobile reception is crap.

I have a landline as it part of my broadband contract, but I don't even bother plugging a phone in.

Checkmate, scammers. And maybe my mum...oh well.
