I have a Zoom video that the publisher has got a 7 day limit on and no real options to save it off from what I can tell. Its just about 3 one hour training videos. I have the link and the password they shared with me.

I have tried a couple of so called free bits of software but all seem to be limited one way or another e.g time limit, or nighmare verfication each time !

Can anyone reccomend any free software that would record the desktop for an hour and just the sound and video of what is playing. SO I could whack it in full screen and save as an mp4 or something ?

I dont really want to buy any software for limited need I have.

Thanks

Microsoft App Store's got some nice one's.

One that looks good for Windows 11 is - Screen Recorder for Windows 11

There might others similar for Windows 10.

Assuming you have either of these you should be sorted.

Edit: completely forgot about OBS! Would also recommend that.

Thanks for all the suggestions in the end decided to find and install OBS, which is on version 29. So guess has developed a lot !

I installed then unlike me actually read the simple guide it offers and was up and running in about 5 minutes.

I went in settings and turned of the mic and set to desktop in gui.

The recording over ran, as got distracted , so need to trim an hour off but lots of editing software can do that.

Was really really simple to use when you follow the guide.

I have since noticed you can set a recording time limit , so I can just set for say an hour and ten minutes to record, then it will auto stop. As these sessions tend to be about an hour at most.

Thanks for helping out all.
