Search not working..??

Anyone else having trouble with the search option?

Every time I try and search for something I get the maintenance page...Can't even search to see if this problem has been reported!!..

Just wondering if it's just me? using Windows10, MS Edge.

I got the error message yesterday when I searched for a user's posts. I had to include a search term for the search to work.

I had similar issues, also some page loading very slow, like there is an indexing or a cache problem somewhere?

So it appears to be an issue with people using later versions of Chrome for posting in a thread.

This then breaks search for everyone.

Need to upgrade to a fixed version of the forum software. We'll put this into a test environment first and keep everyone updated.

Just trying it mate and I get either nothing or the Site Maintenance screen. Maybe you are working on it now? Im running a linux system. Problems with my PMS too. see other post

For others information someone on here mentioned that you can use Google to search only UKVAC.

eg. to search for 'Arcade' type:

site:www.UKVAC.COM Arcade

in Google Search.

Is this ever going to be fixed? I'm aware that the site is free but still, it's been a year and the search is still totally broken. Even basic things like viewing a users profile and clicking "Find members posts" is non-functional. Google site: search is erratic at finding matches. I know Alpha and the boys are onto this...
They are moving the site over to new forum software and it will be fixed
(There is a site maintenance topic about this)
They are asking for any donations to try and make this happen quick/soon
If we all chipped in a wee bit for this great site (Which for most is now your only home) then it will be better for all of uspaulcan692018-06-18 14:47:47

Hi guys, OK we've implemented a fix that hopefully will allow searches to work properly again. We'll monitor the site to make sure it doesn't introduce any other new issues.
