Thanks Shane, I’ve just been for a look at that thread and can see what you mean. They came up very nice and red. Also saw you used the ‘Scarlett’ colour which is interesting as I thought that might be too dark. Looks just right.

Big question though mate - how well did they wear after you’d done them?

In the time that I had the cab it was fine no colour loss or cracking at all I sold the cab onto danscu
He kept it for a while then sold it to arcade club Leeds I think so the real test will be asking how it's held up now all these years later at arcade club

But tbh there's no other options unless someone repros some more I don't think you will find any mint ones they all seem to be missing all together have chunks missing
Or are pink instead of red

Just in case you don't get good results I can still get them new from Sega, they had 2 sets left of the red ones last time I checked. I think that's going to be it though, that's very likely the last ever stock.

I shall have a go at cleaning and colouring this week and post my results.

As far as reproductions go I wonder how they were made. Maybe moulds used to form them? I’m not even sure exactly what they’re made of! Some sort of spongy vinyl.chris29222021-08-31 14:22:38

Gary ,outrun2 had some Japanise style ones reproed
A while back they were nice but are a lot softer than the UK style ones
