I have seen a lot of Sega system 16 boards with what looks like Vertially printed Rom labels that are Yellow. Initially I thought theses were conversion roms people made but now I am not so sure. I have seen them mostly on games like Wonderboy 3.

Here is an example.

This pcb is from a reputable japan arcade supplier so I dont think it's a conversion.

Is the label yellow because they used some sort of paper that went yellow through time? Makes me wonder why Sega printed this rom label vertical rather than Horizontal like all the other sega system 16b. It's hard to tell on that picture as the print has faded completely but I have exactly same one and you can see vertical printed labels and have seen many others the same.

Can anyone confirm that this is indeed not a conversion?

I have one that is Tetris but was factory converted and they left the other game roms on the board and just changed the ones needed !!! Confused the hell out of me when i read the Roms and it came out with 2 games. There was a lot of factory conversions as far as i am aware.

Sometimes, Sega used yellow eprom labels, and there, on your pic above, it could be a factory convert made from Flash Point game, but nothing seems written on the eprom labels.

Btw, does FD1094 match your game ? So, it's definitely a factory convert made by Sega itself or by repairers.
