When do we find out?

I can't see Sega going the hardware route again. To costly. It's all about the software.

Sega 1st party has always been great.

The Dreamcast.... the best console that no one bought. I remember at the time, everyone was absolutely brainwashed by the promise of the PS2. I bought both. The PS2 now rots in the attic whilst the Dreamcast gets used regularly.

How does slapping the SEGA name on an XBox make it any better? I very much doubt SEGA are getting back into the hardware game. Not in any significant way, anyway. Probably just be another mini console.

I don't see Sega entering the hardware market again, as much I would love them too. There isn't space to compete with the entrenched brands right now. There could be space in the handheld console market, but I don't see this happening either.

Looking forward to the announcement though, just hope it's something at least a little interesting.

Microsoft / sega hardware not so interesting. Sega exclusive titles on the new xbox might be good though.

It would be to market it to Japanese. The xbox has always been sh*t there. If it was sold in Japan as a Sega though, it may fair better - I think this is the basis of the rumour.
