Revival Retro Events returns after a 4 year hiatus to the Midlands UK for a bumper event featuring consoles, computers, pinballs, arcade machines, vendors, wasps, caterpillars, M&S special cheese, toast, lost donkeys, Sinclair C5 etc. The usual stuff…

NERG: North East Retro Gaming Events This is it. The final. The end. No more annual trips for me up to Gateshead... Or is it? There is a tiny chance, and I mean tiny, that the show will go on. Watch this space.

Do you like playing with your balls? I know I do, especially if they are silver and flying up and down a pinball table. All that flipping, nudging, and deep deep plunging has really rekindled my love for these big oblong breasts. Beasts, I mean beasts.

Arcade Club Leeds has, like a fine cheese, matured. Gone are the limited seating spaces for food and drink! Now you can sit down in a large restaurant to eat stuff and drink beer. Since my last visit in 2021 I've found there's more pinballs (girls go Mad for Medieval Madness! …erm, no.). There’s an updated selection of rhythm games (hit the shiny lights), a dedicated fighting games room (kick Ken right in the FACE), more huge sit-downs & racing games (girls go mad for slidey cars..erm..not really), Xboxes (a bit of Fortnite, kids?) a VR area (chop blocks in half with Darth Vader’s light sabers), air hockey and basketball hoops, and of course the AWESOME Retro games floor. There’s something here for everyone, unless you don’t like games, then you’re stuffed.

I visit the 3 remaining Arcades In Whitby (UK). A mixed bag of new VR games and old-school Arcade.

Some blurb for context:
The Wife and I have been regularly visiting Whitby since 1993. I've seen the arcades there change and develop. This current incarnation blends my much loved old-school arcade games with newer VR machines. Not my thing to be honest, but if that's what amusement venues have to provide to thrive in the current climate then I'm all for it.

WHITBY ARCADES:

Awesome. I'll have to watch. Whitby is still great for seaside arcades
