I just find them difficult to play and when you have back problems it's not the best machines, do like the look of them though and some great pics

I had a Taito-style cocktail with Galaga in it, and I didn't find it very ergonomic to rapidly press fire...

I like the way the Williams and Atari cocktails have a more horizontal control panel.

Yes, the ones with horizontal CPs are more desirable to me, personally. Playing cocktails always used to give me bad neck ache.

I don't think many have the height adjusted properly. But as pointed out they are not for button bashing games. Galaga requires you to be constantly hitting the fire button but space invaders, galaxian, and others like them rely on accurate shots. Pacman works well on a table.

Bat and ball games are brilliant. My super breakout table and zun zun block are perfect and lots of fun when competing with someone else.

All the cabs I've owned and I've only had 1 cocktail the whole time!
None at the moment but one is on the way now. There are some really nice looking ones, I really like the white tops of the Nintendo cabs they look really smart and play well.

I would LOVE to find one of these.

oh sorry, The Super Breakout.

No so this was built by a Japanese company at the end of the 70s and is not an Atari. Originally I thought it might have been a taito zun zun but it looks to be a cloned atari pcb.

I Posted a picture of it above, you can see the game playing.

Yeap that is a breakout. They never did a super breakout as far as I know.

The food fight cocktail I picked up is very close to having it's mame tumour removed. I need mudymusics help to get some artwork done and to complete the pcb repair.

I played Thwocker's Pac Man table at Eurocade and it is MAGNIFICENT! - He also scratch built the whole thing, it's not a 'real' one. I was certainly fooled by the excellent quality of it.

I used to have one of those Breakout tables. They are built like lead tanks. The top of it is about a meter in diameter!
