[ukvac] SIDEARMS tech - missing capacitor?
hi - hope someone can help. I noticed on ebay, a sidearms board that had a
big fat blue capacitor in a place where mine has none. The space on my board
has what looks like pins that have been cut off and is labeled `CC1`.

My board works fine apart from not showing the top two or three pixels of
the screen, might the (perhaps) missing capacitor fix this? also could
anyone tell me what capacitor needs to go there?

I can send a jpeg image of a close up of my board for anyone who wants to
see the exact spot.

ta very much!
Dugan.

So what's the problem???)

Doesn't sound like much of a problem to me! Have you tried adjusting the
vertical alignment on the monitor??? Not all games display in exactly the
same place...

Well... It would probably be safer to your board to have this capacitor,
but (I assume) its only to stop spike voltages from harming the board when
you first turn it on. The capacitor (more than likely) is just for
smoothing out irregular voltages from the PSU.
