I will have 3 spare seats in my car going from Holiday Inn Express to Arcade Club and back again when we get kicked out If anyone wants a lift then they are welcome, send me a message and ill give you my mobile number to meet up. not sure on times but my plan to do as much as i can at Expo saturday morning/afternoon and then shoot down to Arcade Club before all the cool stuff starts, lol like John, Whitney and Alex arriving, Sky skipper etc. I so cant wait for this...

Just wondered if anyone local to Bournemouth is driving up and might be able to bring back a Naomi control panel and a few small bits for me, for me then to pick up afterwards?



Reason is I'm flying up and just realised I'm probably not going to have room in my cabin luggage for it all!

After posting on the for sale thread I realise I've got a few boxes of stuff to bring with me for trade, will there be a reserved area where we can drop off and later trade items? the other option is to deal out of car boots but my car won't be at AC for long on saturday afternoon and sunday morning and it'll be a pain going backwards and forwards. Could we even package and label stuff up with a forum name for people to collect of their own accord?

What is the parking like? i have watched some videos of AC and seen outside a bit and i guess its gonna be tight with us all there, is there a car park near by? pay and display close? ill know for next year as this is my first.

Been looking at parking myself as im staying at the Premier Inn which doesn't have its own parking apparently.
Maybe going for the Market Car Park as its halfway between hotel and AC so i can walk from both. Think i saw somewhere it was £5 for day parking in the Market Car Park.

Right you ‘orrible lot

Here’s the lowdown on The UKVaC Meet (with extra John,Whitney & Sky Skipper)

Arcade club opening times are as advertised Fri (6pm-12am) Sat (11am-11pm) Sun (11am-8pm)

Peak time to avoid on Saturday is 3pm - you may have to queue if you arrive at this time

things ease off around 5pm then pick up again for 7pm (this is the time I imagine most people will turn up)

Lanyards will be available for pre-purchased tickets - bring proof of payment (PayPal email etc)

60 places will be reserved for people who want to spend the day at Arcade Club and are not going to play,

these will start to be released at 1pm and a further 60 places will be reserved around 6pm when it ‘normally’

eases off…

The main sky skipper event and Johns Arcade was originally at Play, but has been changed for

various reasons - this WILL cause us to reach capacity…

when this happens it will be one in one out we will have machines set up on the ground floor to

play as well as refreshments and sofas

Main meet is Saturday from 11am - 1am+ (but I imagine most people will arrive after play)

Sky Skipper reveal is around 8:00pm on Floor 2

Car Parking, we have 100 spaces (including street parking) if you can park at the hotel

and get a cab - I would advise this, plus you can have a drink if you so wish

Regarding bringing swap items small items are fine, but large monitors will have to be left

in your car (bring a pic on your phone )

Im worried about me and my my lad watching the reveal, he is under 18 and not allowed on the second floor, how can we work this? can he sneak up just to watch the reveal and straight back down? He knows all about Sky Skipper and is really looking forward to it. I cant leave him on his own downstairs he is only 8.

Looking at train times, I am highly likely to arrive at that peak time of 3pm and keen to get some gaming in before an evening of socialising (with some gaming).

Great great stuff Andy. So looking forward to this. My cunning plan to avoid having to worry about times, queues and hotspots is to simply tip up at opening and stay til thrown out! Simples!

we can't really have a separate line/till/member of staff for people who will be arriving throughout the day

but there will be a fast track at the start of the day

no, unfortunatley that wouldn't be feasible on a Saturday with sky skipper and play, originally there was going to be an area - but that has changed since we had sky skipper/John change venue to Arcade Club :/

My son is also going who is 9, my son goes off and does his own thing on the top floor - they'll be fine.
