Great to see and meet everyone, sorry if I didn't say hi to you all - so many people there.

Arcade Club just gets better and better - Andy you've done such a great job at your place. We should organise more regular meets there guys.

Great meet again, lovely food and staff too, Thanks Andy for hosting it and I'm looking forward to what next year brings to Arcade Club too.

I had to leave early so I didn't get to see the Sky Skipper reveal, hope someone uploads it to youtube?
I did play too and it was very disappointing this year I dont think I'll bother with it next time

I had to leave early as well, just found this video though - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6O_yiDm8N_Y , looks like everyone was having a good time.

Thanks for posting the video :)

I have to say it was a great day, it was a long day and we didn't get back till nearly 4am. Thanks to Andy and the AC crew for staying open a bit later than the advertised closing time.

I seen a few old faces and met some new guys too, but each time I seen a guy wearing a Vac Laynard the badge was facing the wrong way so I didn't know who you guys were! John from Johns Arcade had groupies, it would have been nice to shake his hand but he looked tied up so kept my distance, same with Alex/Chuckie Egg.....I would have liked to exchange some Bruce Lee quotes with you mate.

Arcade club has come on leaps and bounds since I last visited, it truly is an impressive place. From playing some dedicated cabs for the first time, to playing Project cars 2 on Oculus rift for the first time.

Thanks to Robotech for driving us up there, I'm really glad I didn't have to drive back at that time in the morning. Luckily that energy drink kicked in pretty quickly mate!

Nice pictures cNp, that's me playing the Sky Skipper on the stage.

I'm up for next year if I'm still on this planet, so the earlier the better knowing the date of the next meet.

Super photos Chris, captured a fantastic weekend. Arcade Club continues to expand and maintain its high standards, all in a friendly environment. Sad it's over for another year, but i'm more motivated, and focused, than ever to improve my little collection now.
Congrats again to Alex and Whitney for the jaw dropping cabinet and for spending time with as many folk as they could on the evening.

2018 Meet has a lot to live up to.

it was a fun but long day out I had a great time with the people I travelled down with people I had met before from the vac and met a few new faces

I would of liked to talked to Shawn and Vic from the podcast
I have seen them at a few events but I am always a bit shy to approach them as they are podcast famous and I forgot to bring any biscuits
smiley36.gif

I can only echo what others have said about the arcade clubs hospitality and all the effort put in by the sky skipper crew
smiley20.gif

the cab looks so nice the videos don't do it justice

the table flipping machine was awesome I've not seen
one before the peoples stupid expressions as cakes, burgers ,and coffins were bounced off there heads was hilarious

a year is too long to wait until the next meet

Excellent evening, great people and great atmosphere. I'm there regular now but damn, busiest I'd ever seen it and just top drawer all round. It was a rare opportunity for the RRE crew, Retro Asylum and everyone involved in Revival to get their heads together from the four corners of the country, and what better reason than to support our compadre Al in this project he's spent so long on. Got to put faces to names on VAC for the first time in one place too, and even our new buddy Dave Perry was surprised at just how many acknowledgements I got, asking about the events and catching up!

Also very proud to be trusted enough by Al to bring Sky Skipper to it's exclusive only outing in event land (following the reveal of course), when it arrives on the floor of REVIVAL: Generation X 2018 in May to enjoy once more in public with our arcade brethren, accompanied by the single biggest line-up of dedicated Nintendo arcade machines seen exhibited together at any event.

So many of you guys have now stuck a hand up and offered to pledge some help to the event, we just want to thank you by making it as awesome as possible - last night shows how Sky Skipper will do just that.

Hope you all had a great time last night and hope to see you with us in May ;)

Its the day after getting back from Play Expo and Arcade club on Saturday and I'm still knackered. I could of done with Monday off to recover
smiley36.gif
. It was such a great day playing Arcades, drinking beer and having a chat with fellow vaccers.

James RGP did a great job with the cabs at Play Expo and and I was digging the 80s music videos on the big projector screen.

Arcade Club was amazing as always. In fact it was even better than when I went there last year, with the second floor now completely opened up. As has already been said, a big thanks to Andy for hosting the event. The arcades were all looking fantastic and a great choice of beers on offer. Sorry to anyone who was after a bottle of Proper Job, I think I nabbed the last 4 bottles of it
smiley41.gif

Alex, Whitney and the rest of the Sky SKipper team put on a great show, the machine looked and played superb.

I didn't take many pictures of the event, but I did take a fair few videos of Play Expo and Arcade Club at various points, including one where blazerfrazer's 8 year old lad beat John Jacobsen at Donkey Kong Jr.

I'll try and get them uploaded in the next day or so.

Now I need to start convincing the wife to let me go to both of next years Revival and UKVAC meets

What a weekend. My first VAC meet, but won't be my last, I think if you asked me to imagine what a perfect night out looked like I would have imagined Saturday, friendly people, buzzing atmosphere and loads a great games to play. Managed to get on a good selection, including having a go on the VR car racing.

Congrats to Alex, Whitney and all the people who contributed to the Sky Skipper project it looked fantastic, and was a credit to you all.

I'm lucky enough to live quite close, so I get there quite a lot, but
I've never seen it as busy as it was on Saturday, the team of people who
work there deserve a lot of credit for keeping everything running smoothly. Managed to say hello to Andy, and Shaun & Vic from the 10 Pence podcast and John Jacobson, spoke to a few more, including a couple of Dutch guys who were a great laugh, but kept forgetting to ask what people's forum names were!

To the guy who ended up playing games on the classic floor for hours with me and my mate, Martin his name was I think, I didn't catch your forum name mate, but thanks for the thrashings you handed me on every game we played!

Such a great turn out Saturday, best meet I’ve been to such a great laugh...
Massive thanks goes to Alex for sharing such a great story and making a stunning cab for us to play (did anyone beat my score?) Whitney and John were really sincere and seemed to love chatting to everyone.
Andy has done an amazing job with arcade club.

Many thanks to everyone involved
