Quick questions:
Just been flogging through a load of galaxian roms using GQ 4x4 and verifying versus MAME files. Am I right latest versions of SLICE can basically perform this task when clipped onto the EPROMs?
Can't quite tell from the whole thread above.....what is the current total price of the SLICE set up?

The slice will show you which eprom locations are accessed and what value is read from them.
You can also tell the software what the eproms should contain so any locations that are read wrong will be shown in red.
But if the whole eprom isn't being accessed during the sample time (max 300ms) then you won't get all the locations checked.

You would also need the extra cable since the standard cable only does up to 20(edit) 24 pin chips and a bigger clip since the standard TTL clip is too small for standard eproms.

That's correct as Slice is passive so can only show what is being read. Though you can set triggers to only start the sampling when the rom is read. If the board has a rom test routine then this will catch the full contents of a rom.
Slice also has a cycle mode which when roms are being monitored allows all the data in multiple samples to be captured and retained.
As standard you can use upto 24 pin clips which would enable reading 2732's but the expansion cable is needed to expand it to 32 pins which allow 27c801's to be read.

Would be great to have a clear price breakdown and a list of what’s included (cables, clips, etc.), just so it’s easier to understand the full cost of the setup upfront.
