And boy, it has not let me down at all.

Its my phone im selling on this forum, ive put it up for £200, not accepting any less for it(its less on here though) and ive had about 10-15 messages.

One guy asked me whats the lowest i would take for it, £200 was my response, his response was to ask me if i would take £160....how TF does that work exactly, swiftly told him to jog on

Another offered me £120...LOL

Someone offered me a swap with a shit phone from 2019

Honestly, ive only ever good interactions with people selling stuff on FB...but the fools have come out to play for this one

Yes its the wild west FB marketplace. If it does get a seller insist on cash and check the serial numbers are different, I saw some real good fake £20's the other day and only the matching serials gave it away.

Fake plastic cash is everywhere and some older note acceptors such as the NV11 series will take them still in use on some money changers in bowling alleys ect.

I don't use Facebook marketplace but it is usually a great spectator sport whenever my neighbour sells something on it and the buyer comes to collect -
scene 1 - Immediate haggling (often animated , sometimes profanity) door slammed if no agreement made within minutes
scene 2 - Best case scenario - genuine cash paid and goods exchanged happily.
Funny case scenario - Buyer rejected and leaves in a huff and a plume of exhaust fumes - cue the entire family to appear on the drive and flip the bird!

ive sold a bunch of board games lately and bought a load of stuff as well, always been very smooth transactions, but putting a phone up for sale apparently is like a moth to a flame

well, it'll be bank transfer for me then

And people wonder why I avoid faceshit like the clap ! lol. No different on shitebay when they make you an offer of say £160 and you decline and give them a price with a message Example :- " I wont take any less than £200 " , So they then send another offer " would you take £165 " reading my freaking note you muppets !

With the payment no matter what you do they can still get there money back , Even bank transfer. You are not safe no matter what. The country is a shit show & getting worse.

Dave.

Like the 80s when US Government were flying in drugs to distribute over the place it wouldn't surprise me if they deliberately put fake money out there to put people off accepting cash
