This is brilliant work. As a long time laser game fan, I can't thank you enough. 4 broken VP931 players and many hours spent working through the VP931 repair guide (mallets anyone?) eventually forced me to break up my firefox rig. No other players had the seek time to handle the game. The sooner this hardware is perfected the better

A big step closer now, Dexter board talking to a laptop running a video frame server app that Matt released to me yesterday.After couple of small tweaks to my Dexter board code and here is the result:

The laptop has been locking up totally sometimes, having to power off n on again, other times it ran several games and was in attract mode for over half an hour with no problems. So could be a bitch to find the cause!It's been a lot of years since I played a real game on my cab, so today I've been enjoying it's resurrection.

It's been a while but here is the Dexter laserdisc replacement running on a RaspberryPi in my Firefox machine.

There is an obvious colour problem but the actual frame seeking looks smooth and game plays well if you can see through the psychedelic effect!

Now, if I can find why the colour signal is so poor and fix it I'll a very happy chappy!

Sadly I've also got some game board faults to fix too, a couple of faults developed while I was trying to test the Dexter. Bugger!

Granted it doesn't do anything yet but I have complete hardware on the way from various members on here and a board set fix incoming

Yay!! Managed to adjust colour carrier trimmer on Firefox NTSC board and stop the colour banding. It looks much closer now.

Not easy getting a decent screen picture on mobile phone though.

This is superb work Mitchell along with your SW code project and one of the great projects that makes UKVAC unique amongst VAC sites

I can't think of anywhere else on the internet where you can find people who have disassembled SW and written an AVG decoder, who can read a post on disassembling Fire Shark to make a more useful self-test and freely chuck a few hours into reading the code to provide invaluable help, have written their own code for Asty, provide repair facts based upon a complee dissassembly of SHO, or anything else inbetween

These are some of the reasons I love it here.
