I've regged up at this forum, cause the length of the thread is better

I'll be attending, the setup, the event, and also the chinese meal - I have cleared the setup attendance with will, (Cause I'm not bring machines) & given my name to Will for the chinese, but still dont have the current info

Anyone help me out? (I'll be staying at the Chatsworth...)

I mean the info regarding the location of the Chinese meal, and times? Not the location of the event itself

This actually works quite well for me, the missus doesn't like eating after 9pm anyway and probably doesn't care much for setting up late either, so we have early food then I pack her off to bed at 9pm

And I make a mental note not to drop you in it at breakfast the next morning this time!

Ah yes, did that run along the lines of...

Missus: "What time come to bed at?"

Me: "Oh, about midnight."

Gudd: "No, no, we were up until at least 2am."

...or something like that.

Kinda - more along the lines of you and I just chatting and me giving it "well you were still going strong when I went to bed at 2", at which point I notice the glare in her eyes and the dawning reality that you'd obviously spun a different web

Yeah, that's probably more like it, I don't think you'd have done it deliberately.

More usual for me to have been giving it "...was still going strong at 2" and dropping myself in it!

Right, I'm confirming now I'm bringing the Taitel Gyruss. I might well make the chinese meal if I already have the game loaded up as I can come over after work. How exactly is one supposed to get hold of Will to confirm any of this since the hotmail account clearly isn't working?

Yes shame the Mods aren't supporting it more, any arcade event exposure is a good thing surely.

So shall I just rock up with a game then? Unfortunately I have been somewhat limited by what I have had time to prep, and what will fit in the estate car. I did try the Star Rider and it nearly broke my back but despite measuring up I only got it a foot in before it got wedged at the top of the tailgate. I then had to support the full weight of the base while trying to slide it back out again

Taitel Gyruss is my obvious choice though I see Rav is bringing a (US?) Gyruss? Though last year that was used in the highscore compo therefore mine could just sit out on general use.

Karl - yes Rav is bringing his Gyruss. Is your Electrocoin cab setup for JAMMA? Could you bring it and a few pcbs for rotation inside it?

Yes, but I'll have to dig it out, which will have to wait until at least Thursday otherwise it'll still be Gyruss, still, I bet less people have seen a UK spec one....

Shame you can't fit both!

There should be JAMMA cabs there so if you can bring a favourite board along or two that would be most appreciated - they can be locked inside your cab or left in your car when not in use to avoid any worries of them going missing.
