Splitting For Sale Section into Cabs and Parts/Pcbs

Can we split the for sale area into cabs and PCBs/parts please?

I often click on for sale threads.expecting to see cabs for sale when it's only PCBs and the seller can't be arsed to put PCB in the title.

At least if there were two sections, hopefully these lazy sellers would put their ad in the right section.

This has been mooted before: https://www.ukvac.com/forum/threads/is-it-time-we-split-the-for-sale-section.39477/ and was generally considered not a good idea with some anecdotal evidence on how it hadn't gone down well on other forums. I still think you'd get sellers posting in the wrong area (cabs in PCB's, PCB's in the cabs sections) so you wouldn't really see any win. I think we can easily avoid these by putting PCB or Cab in the title, which is what I do (or would if I were selling anything). If we see a massive number of responses in favour I guess we could consider it again...

Sometimes people are selling a combination of the two.

Maybe incorporate into the for sale dropdown a "Cab for Sale" option, along with the usual others.

I think it's a good idea to split the sections. People like to scroll back months or even years looking for unsold pcbs, or quickly look if there are any unsold cabs without wading through items you are not interested in or poorly titled sales posts.

Better if people labelled things correct I suppose , I.E Wonder boy PCB For sale or Wonderboy Cabinet For sale, Not hard to see the difference then. I assume splitting is just another head ache personally.

Totally agree if they did, there'd be no need but they often don't!

I miss the days of ebay and awesome stuff listed in wrong section, £100 Space Invaders and £50 Rail Chase 2 machine

Still miss odd bargains like Jamma cab near me for £40 few weeks back but yeah always will see people use wrong section, no half of ebay is done on purpose

Don't suppose you could add a drop down menu in For Sale to select Cab, PCB, Parts

Depends how extensible the platform is I suppose. I always liked Jamma+ to be able to just go and look at "cabs for sale".

I think KLOV do it well. They have two For Sale sections which separate full cabs and parts/PCBs etc.
