A great game and like Tekhan's other classic, Rygar), full of hidden bonuses. Can you get the 50k bonus on level 1? 
Had this in the Halls at Uni, of of my mates regularly got to level infinity.

Yes Chad, I got the first two 50k bonuses - didn't even know about these until recently. I spent a fair few credits just figuring out how to do it properly.
I think I'm going to be putting a few hours in on this one when I get the time.

There's one related to the "death star" thing that appears before you get the rapid fire add-on. Stop shooting when it starts to appear, wait til the centre part flashes white, then shoot the centre part {n} times without getting crushed by the corner parts as they fly in, and you get a bonus. I forget how many times {n} is, but it's a fair few.

There used to be a good tips site years ago, RCATT, which I submitted loads of tips to for Star Force and others. Definitely one of my fave games.

You need to shoot 16 in a row, either from the left or right, when you get a column of them down the centre of the screen in later levels. At one point you can get 2 such bonuses in a row, and one more later on. You have to be able to delay enemies appearing to get them when the screen is relatively quiet.
You can also get a 1million bonus at one point.
And of course you know you can determine/control if the end of level boss goes left or right...?
