My personal best from bitd is 55,000,000 that was the same shield setting as above. It was done on the cockpit version on Brighton Pier in around 85'...that took around 9hrs or so

Muerto said:
It has it´s own dedicated topic - but it´s: Hardest difficulty, no bonus shields.

ah cheers for that Muerto,i'll have a blast on that when i get all the refurb work sorted....

Also i do have another high score from bitd on Starwars,it was just shy over 60.000.000 with my brother...That was around 84' in Scarborough at 'Shaws' amusements on 'Newborough'.That was an upright with the same shield settings (not sure what difficulty setting it was though ?)

With pinballs we can at least say, you probably took the glass off.. but with videogames.

Still have to play this star wars version though...
(I was born in 1981 so just missed out on these..)

That was absolutely incredible! Stunning!

Watching your Death Star runs I was leaping about all over the place and wincing when you were getting through the single half-width holes and still you weren't shooting and getting the Force bonus

. I reckon that must be the most impressive example of gameplay I have ever seen.

I am utterly ashamed that I play on easy DIPs with max shields, max regeneration and still can't get more than a couple of million :) You even carry on conversations whilst you're playing!

Awesome.

In true expert fashion you make it all look so easy too. Was nice to see what's beyond my max wave (13), it seems like more of the same. Have to say your monitor is spot on too, no colours out of phase which makes the trench a pain!

I usually play it on 'hardest' setting (don't no why TG settings is 'hard' setting ?)

Like I said on the video the only 'hard' thing (for me anyway) is getting all the tower tops on the 32 tower levels...

Would love to go for Roberts WR but again spending 49hrs+ is such a tall order, its not a game that gets 'harder' as you go furthur on like Pacman,Donkey Kong etc...its having the stamina and concentration to play for that amount of time, the level of difficulty in game play just stays the same

How do they deal with going for a pee on a SW WR marathon? The few marathons I've seen have been with games that let you build up a huge buffer of lives to give you a few minutes away.

I'd love a WR (never happening though, got the coordination of a mad cow on a treadmill) but I don't think I'd take 3 days with a catheter for it

Well what I would do is have a large bottle at hand and between levels take a number 1 if I have to in the bottle

(well that's the plan anyway

)

Also my bathroom is only yards away from where the cab is

...not sure about a number 2 though

Had another great game the other weekend and managed to come up with a respectable 30mill...

I only uploaded from 26mill to 30mill on youtube (it was a 5hr game btw)

The video is in 2 parts....

One for the high score chart Dan
