Anyone playing this?

I held off at launch. One of my in-laws was going on and on about it but I resisted as I thought it was too much money plain and simple. Then Rav's son gave me a bit of a demo about it while I was down there earlier in the week and I couldn't resist!!

Very, very good.

Unlike WoW, I'm determined with this one to get into the spirit of things and group properly rather than just solo'ing my way to the level cap.

With that in mind, if anyone's playing, reply here with server etc. and maybe we can try and get groups going?

Server: Nightmare Lands
Faction: Republic
Class: Jedi Consular (Shadow)
Going for Dark Jedi - not sure that really makes too much difference though.

If rolling on a new server, try and get on the same server as cross server grouping isn't possible, and hopefully it will stay that way. Nightmare Lands was showing as full when I rolled but it still let me join and it hasn't been full since. Given it's new years day though, it probably will be now!

I do intend to roll an empire toon in due course but I was led to believe that the servers are full of empire at the moment (rightly or wrongly) so for my first toon I've gone empire.

Is there a demo with some free hours included? Am guessing its an mmorpg a la WoW but Star Wars themed? Sounds pretty cool. I got hacked off with WoW due to the grinding and not having reliable group to go questing with.

It is an MMORPG like WoW yes, but I can honestly say it's better, as a Star Wars fan, and as a WoW fan.

Did my first 'flashpoint' this afternoon (aka 'Dungeon') and it was awesome. Really great storyline and very immersive for an MMO. And certainly at the moment, being new, grouping isn't a problem.

Sadly though, no demo time at the moment. They've reached 1,000,000 players faster than any other MMO in history (including WoW) so for the moment, no real need. Frustrating, I know, but true.
