This is the intel 486 based version that came out after the initial Amiga 3000 1000CS.

I have this unit minus the case (the seller never sent it!!!

) so I would need to put it in an equivalent 4-6U rack mount chassis and paint on the Virtuality logo

I got a shed loads of BOXED games for this one, including Missile Command 3D, and also a box of NOS cards for the system and an SU2000 visette - which is half the weight of the original!

I've never imaged the hard disk - eek! Should probably do that!!

MikeDX had some success getting Missile Command 3D to boot up in DOS - until it failed finding all the bespoke 3D kit

Here's a picture of the SU2000 unit. I know where one is for £150 too but it's in Europe. I should get it really.

Wow, I wish I could get it too... But it won't fit in my garage along with the 1000 lol.

I also have a 2000 visette, but I can't get it working...

I think I also have a 2000 manual somewhere.... I will email it to you if I can find it

Any One have info on the 1000 sit down, that I am really after.

I think Gridrunner has lots of hardware for the sitdown.

2 sitdowns were parted out a year or two ago by a right eBay knobend.

Yeah, I wanted to buy them, but I could not afford, nor had the space, I was frustrated that he sold the innards and then tried yo sell the shells. Tbh I wanted to buy just the innards due to space, but he didn't offer them to me.

Gridrunner, can you please help me out on the sit down system, to see if I can make the standup a combo machine. If so its greatly appreciated, and I will post up tutorials on how I managed it ( if I can)

Hi Guys,

It was me, and yes that guy was odd and with some very odd stuff.

I do have a full set of internals, but the masses of wiring make it a very imposing task to re-assemble and attempt to get working. The Polhemus tracking system which would normally be positioned and aligned in the body of the system is strewn everywhere.

There's no steering wheel and only one controller.

I scrapped one unit and removed all the parts - this was the unit with the nuked nicad, so I'm lucky to have x2 of all the boards - except for the video cards - one had been pulled from the scrapped unit which makes me question the sellers assertion that it was all working when stored.

I'm going to take an inventory and photo record of everything at the weekend and up it here. I am an amiga bod, so I can at least make disks from the images Tim's kindly provided. I haven't inspected the games on my system. I have some key disks and an empty box of dactyl nightmare.

Alpha, if that lead for the US unit is solid can you PM me, I might follow that up if you don't want it?

Hi Gridrunner

Please let me have all the info you can give on the sit down equipment you have, and I will do my best to help you wire it all up.

I have started to make a wiring diagram for the stand up, so I guess that is not too different, to get you/me started.

I hope that we can meet up at the revival event in May!

Simon
