[ukvac] Taito F3 System and a Phoenix board (TECH)
Morning all
I've just purchased a Taito F3 Motherboard. First thing I needed to do was
turn the volume down because it was too high, so I searched around for a pot
but.... no luck, theres a variable resistor (VR1) but this doesn't seem to
do anything and turning the volume down to 0 in the test/set-up screen still
leaves the volume too high.
Am I being a dick??? Or is VR1 supposed to be a volume resistor??? If not,
what does it do?
I've also bought a Phoenix bootleg which is unlike any I've ever seen
before. Weird looking thing!! Its got a 22 way edge connector and the
board is marked P-81, theres some really weird looking components on it, 2
ENORMOUS capacitors and a tube looking thing with 'Mallory' written on it.
Theres also a metal circular thing in a 'cage' with RCA on it (sound I
assume) does anyone know anything about it, have pinouts, any advice on
anything??? Life, love, laundry??? My last few posts have all remained
unanswered, go on, if you can help, make a Pobster very happy.
Thanks,
Pobster
