Welcome to UKVAC! You've certainly picked the right place to ask questions about this game. As Dan says your best bet is to get some good pics up of the fault and a few details of what troubleshooting gear and experience you have.
Chances are the first step is to measure the voltages going to the board and then a logic probe will be useful if you want advice on repairing it yourself.
I'd suggest you post the above details in a new thread in the Tech section as you'll get more eyes on your problem there and the majority of site members are much more interested in the classics such as this, so I think you'll get plenty of help

ps Could you fill in your location field too? I'd guess your from nick that you're from Canada but your IP suggests UK - knowing where you are will be useful if you decide you want to pass the board onto a professional repair dude.

RE:taitio space invaders seeing 4 of everything on screen, have tried playing with screen controls but no good, i have NOOOOOO experience with these games at all, it's an early 1971 model in very good condition and all original except for the FIRE button. Was working spot on but then everything doubled, and then we got 4 of everything stacked on top of each other. We will post some pictures soon. Any help or knowledge of someone who could fix this brilliant machine for us will be very much appreciated. Many Many Thanks Dave
a photo tells a thousand words in this case. you will have one of two possible problems, the monitor is not adjusted correctly, or the game pcb is faulty (most likely).
Taito made these cocktails from 1978-1980 but without a photo i can't say what your table actually is. You will probably have to remove your pcb and send away for repair, as nobody does on-site repairs for pcb work i'm afraid.
