[ukvac] TECH: Atari Button Removal
I am currently in the process of fitting a new CPO to my Atari Asteroids. I
have been struggling to remove the two LED start buttons. I've followed the
instructions in the manual that say, hold the button cone on the outside and
rotate the switch anti-clockwise. All that happens is the switch rotates in
the whole (I can't get a good grip on the 'button-cone'). I've tried adding
a little WD40 to loosen things up but no effect.
Anyone had this problem before and found a solution? I'd rather not use a
mole-grip or other tool to hold the aluminium cone as it'll probably do some
damage. An advice would be appreciated.
