[ukvac] TECH: Defender Sound Board Stops
My Defender Sound board stops working after about 1 min from turn on,
sometimes less if the game has not been turned off for long.

I've swaped from my stargate board the CPU and sound ROM and replaced
the TDA 2002, but its still the same.

Has any one got any ideas on whats wrong?????

Also . . . I'm getting some robotron boards, but therese no sound
board. If I use my stargate boards without changing the jumpers and
ROM what will happen??? Will it work with the wrong sounds??? or
nothing at all? or will I blow it up (definitely don't want to have
zero sound boards in 3 game sets!)

Sounds like a thermal failure. You need to freeze (they sell freeze sprays
just for this) each component until it works.
