[ukvac] Tech: Gyruss - picture flip?
(looks like it didnt go through the first time?)

Hi, I've now got a working Gyruss board - but the picture is upside down and
there doesn't appear to be a flip dipswitch. My monitor is fixed to a wheel
which only rotates 90 degrees one way. This is fine for every single other
vertical game I've got, but Gyruss appears to want to display the other way
up. Currently I've had to set it to cocktail mode and play 2p games since P2
flips the right way up, but this is hardly optimal ;-)

Does anyone know a way of changing the board to display the other way up, or
how to make some kind of flip switch for my monitor? (Hantarex Polo 25")

cheers,
james

have a look on my site to see how I flipped the picture for my
Mr Do, under the mr do section.

www.pinckney.org.uk

Although that is a permanent flip, its quite easy to fit a switch that will
do the change for you..

If you check previous postings you should get all the information you need ,
ie the type of switch and how to go about it.

You don't need to do this with a Hantarex Polo (or MTC9000) monitor
as it has two sets of pins for the yoke connectors on the main board.
If you swap the connector to the unused set of pins next to the
original connector, then the picture will be inverted.

Re: [ukvac] Tech: Gyruss - picture flip?
according to the diagram in the manual and the actual connector in my
cabinet, the pins had been previously changed by somebody else so I was just
changing them back to default as per the manual .. thats why I chose
my route to flipping the picture..

but im sure this will help the person who originally posted the flip request

Cheers
