That was me playing/completing 1942, Vamino aka I.C.

1942 is one of my favourite games, Yoshiki Okamoto who was in charge of making 1942 also made SonSon/Time Pilot/Gyruss/Side Arms/Gunsmoke/Final Fight/Street Fighter II.

I also put a high score on Vic's Q-Bert as well after I spoke to Vic about the perils of playing C64 games on a BW telly. Master of the Lamps and Q-Bert.

Shane (Robotech) gave me a load of biscuits and I then at the end of Revival I passed a couple of packets to Shaun whilst he was loading the artic by himself as I thought he needed a boost of biscuit energy!.

Nice Podcast, I've still got a bit to listen to.

Greetings Ten Pencers

Another great podcast, really enjoyed it. Thanks for the ping and the link to my Twitch channel in the no showts

Bit sad that Shaun didn't like Mr Do, but I'm a tad biased.

So glad that Victor took a bit of time to give it a go, most Dig Dug fans just dismiss Mr Do as an inferior clone, which it really isn't. Nice one.

ASTOUNDED that Charles of Far didn't put in a truly massive score as usual. Still, was impressed with the -50. How the hell did he do that?

I will be playing again tonight from 9 pm until late on my Twitch channel. Anyone who joins the chat is welcome to question me as I play. I will give tips and run through tactics to help players get BIG scores. If you have time, pop by and say hello. Hoping to get a million if it goes well.

Great podcast again sirs! Nice to have a mention in the feedback again too :)

Mr Do! was the first score I submitted and I beat Charlie Far! That's not too shabby at all. Yes, I know he got less than 0 but I'm having it!

Can I add a suggestion for a listener pick? It's my favorite arcade game but I'm not sure why. It's always just drawn me in for another go and pushed me to try and finish it. Nearly there but haven't finished it yet. It's 'Chelnov - Atomic Runner' (sorry Vic :) ).

It's in the listener list mate, and it's always interested me but I've never really put any time into it. Maybe one day. You could sweeten Vic up with some Dark Chocolate Hobnobs?

I'll have to entice him out like a Womble, with some chocolate hobnobs.

It's a great game and I'd love to see what others thought of it. I have the Megadrive version too which looks a little different but plays the same. No actual PCB yet though. Great choice in Nemesis though.

Hey Mr Shaun and Mr Vic,

Great to catch up with you guys at Revival this year! How great was that event? Loved the gaming Legends panel - well done hosts and guests. I know that CharlieFar was a little nervous beforehand, but he had no problem holding his own against the veteran panellists Jon and Tony. And how comforting to hear that even the demi-gods of gaming have the occasional off days!

I managed to spend a few moments watching Jon's grouping technique after the panel ended - incredible skills.

Still loving the podcast. Highlight of this week's episode.... Q: What kind of people play real golf? A: Bumholes! Brilliant!

Keep on rambling, ranting, eating and talking biscuits. Viva the 10 pence podcast!

Enjoyable podcast again guys one of my favorites now needs to be weekly ;)

Revival was hard work but great fun again

missed the curry night this year as i was too tired to stay awake and eat it
Only three hours sleep the night before(too exited ) and an earlie start to set up before people arived

If vic and shaun were nervous for the talks it never showed
I was sitting in the audience and you were both very proffesional

Rescue was great and a game i had not seen before

And Mr do (to quote vic from previous podcasts) .....No

Another primo podcast, chaps. Keep up the good work. If there was any justice in the world, this'd get picked up by Radio 2, and broadcast in the drive time slot.

I was pleased to hear this episode's game challenge was Nemesis. This is a game I really wanted to like back in the day. It's no Raiden, but it had just about everything you could want in a shmup circa 1986: Well-styled, colourful graphics, great tunes and SFX, and one of the first proper upgrade systems that I can remember. The problem was it was just too flippin difficult! The three button controls, the jerky movement, and the loose collision detection were part of the challenge. But let's face it, trying to continue after losing your power ups was a wee bit frustrating. Nevertheless, I went back to this with rose tinted spectales, and rose tinted everything else - I've just spent the hottest day of the year in Arcade Club practising, as you do, and am a bit flushed. However, I finished the day with 172,300, on Level 4, and am chuffed with that.
