I never saw Lasso, bitd. But now that I have, I reckon I like it.
I spent ages trying to work out some hi-score strategies:
- Hit the two dogs who try to steal the sheep for 4500 points each.
- Get all the snekks in the wells for 2400 a pop.
- Try to lasso a few groups of 3 or more sheep at once for a bigger bonus.
- And, of course, euthanase all the dogs.
- If you're lucky, you can somtimes press fire while you're lassoing the last sheep and kill the last dog at the same time. So try to line 'em up.
Do all that and you can easily get 32,000 points on level one. In fact, if you're lucky with grouping, 39,000+ is a possibility.
However, by the time you get to level 5, things get a bit too frantic to risk rinsing all the points out every round. In fact, if you want to keep going and build up a higher score, it soon makes more sense to take out the
livestock as quickly as possible. Otherwise they get too fast and end up
running into you.
This is where I'm at so far... I might well play it again!
