another excellent podcast and shaun can you bring me that retard frog game script I want to invest in it

but he must pitch it to me in a ms fogger voice.

I agree with the bit rate, quality wise its the same its just a lower overall volume and using good quality headphones there is no difference but using an iphone/ipod with stock headphones as I assume a lot of listeners do then I would defo recommend upping it to 128bit

Great podcast guys! So many arcade pings... maybe Shaun should have a 'in your face' horn?!
I won the competition too!! I'll have to check out the available mugs. People really need to try harder ;)
A rainy commute was certainly bettered. Cheers.

That was a great listen as always, nice work!

It would be awesome if you both came along to Arc-Aid 3. Vic is already a veteran of course,

I hope you can make it Shaun, I am sure us Southerners will make you feel welcome!

Glad you liked my feedback, I didn't think you'd read so much of it out lol

Another great podcast guys.

Question, Lunar rescue is very similar to Space Launcher, Did Nintendo borrow the idea from Taito or was the other way round. Both are excellent games but share a similar mechanic.

I think Nintendo copied everyone before Miymoto jumped on ship, there's another game by Universal which came out the same year which is very similar called galaxy Wars.
All very good games.

Continuing On from the last pod cast very good old chaps
smiley32.gif

Now you know Shaun's love of dogs surely now every game has got to feature killing a animal of some sort
That's clearly his weakness

Great work guys
I'm a new listener and caught up with the last one too, those stories from alpha1 were brilliant, love hearing about what happened to all these cabs when the old arcades were dying, a great listen...
On the subject of games that could have been great in arcades, i liked the c64 versions of 180, Park Patrol and Z...never recalled there being a darts game in the arcades and 180 had great music, far too easy but a hardened trackball version could've had my 10p's...also exolon on the Amiga would've been good on the arcades, another title with a good soundtrack, although maybe a little biased from my own nostalgia, check them out

Ooo... new score: 6510

Seriously, what's up with those comets?! They're just crazy. It's as if the designer of the game thought to himself "I know, to make sure we make money out of everyone we'll just put in a feature that kills players randomly!". You seemingly can't dodge them.

Look for when the mothership stops moving, and that's when the comets start to fall. You know they're coming straight for you so accelerate diagonally past them and they stop when you have travelled over half a screen upwards.
