Another cracking podcast fellas, really enjoyed this as usual.
Thanks for the mention, was really nice to meet you Mr. Holley, and Vic as always it's a pleasure seeing you again. Thanks very much for supporting arc-aid, there's so few events down South so its much appreciated you made the effort to come along, the mouse nest in centipede brought much hilarity. I'll have to get myself up North again soon and I reckon NERG for me next year if it goes ahead.
I'm liking the new segments in the podcast, these help keep it fresh yet familiar which is a good thing I reckon. The mention of the new game by Rav sounds intriguing (I can't remember the name of it now) but the "coming up next podcast" bit definitely makes me look forward to it
Shamefully I didn't try jump bug, I've played it in mame before though its pretty obscure but certainly looks like an addictive game, it kind of reminds me of one of the weird universal games, I suppose rock-ola do quite odd stuff, nibbler is a good game too.
I remember viewpoint from ages ago, but can't recall if I ever played it on a home system or not. The trouble is with a lot of arcade games is that I read about loads of them in C&VG magazine so they get lodged in my memory, and I'm not always sure if it was something I played or read about.
Viewpoint is quite slick though, I'm a fan of isometric games - zaxxon, congo bongo, money money etc. and I've definitely played it in mame a few times before. I got confused between this game and vindicators, I thought it was an Atari game so quite interested that it's neo-geo, I'll have to get one of those multi game carts for my 6 slot cabinet.
As far as forgotten classics go I'll post something up in the thread for it, but camel try is awesome, I played it years ago in mame and come back to it now and then when I fancy something a little different. Indeed its just like the bonus level in sonic, there's really nice graphics on that game but yeah a spinner would be the way to go, not that I have one though.
Oh by the way I'm missing the awesome cartoon depictions of you guys in the picture, I hope you'll carry on with that it always gives me a good laugh.
Anyways thanks again chaps, look forward to seeing you both again sometime, in the meantime keep up the great work!
