Right finished this one now, you'll be pleased to hear I boycotted a national radio DJ with 10million listeners, so I could listen to this each morning this week....and it was far more enjoyable.
An excellent podcast, brilliant, I liked the way you had morsels of normal podcast business in between the game segments, I think that worked really well, it was nice hear about all the games on the 60 in 1, makes me ever keen to actually put together the cocktail cab my board is destined for, so I can actually play it.
The interview with Tim was very interesting, I remember seeing a post on retrogamer forum when the kickstarter thing started off, and thought to myself why buy a book of pics I can just view on the net, but after listening to this very excellent interview, it totally put me straight and I will now have to buy one. Tim came across as great chap, what excited me the most was he has a huge archive of artwork, are there any further plans for that? I wish him all the success with the book, its sounds like he had a harsh time getting it all together, but made it in the end.
Talking of interviewing, I must commend both of you (Shaun & Vic) I think you both have such a natural technique, you seem to put whoever you talk to at ease and have such a harmless unoffensive style which makes for great and interesting listening.
The bit about Capcom CPS1 games, not all of them had suicide batt's, the only ones that do as far as I know are these: Three Wonders, King of Dragons, Knights of the Round, Captain Commando Quiz and Dragons, Capcom World 2, Varth (Japanese version only - US and ETC have no battery), Warriors of Fate* Cadillacs and Dinosaurs*, Punisher*, Saturday Night Slam Masters*, Muscle Bomber*, Muscle Bomber Duo* I so agree with you though so many good games came out on that hardware.
Keep up the great podcasts, I honestly have no idea how you get the time to do all this stuff, the fact you played through most of these 55 games alone must have taken more than a few hours I'll bet.
Cheers
