Good podcast again guys. I was at the meet but never got round to chatting to you. When I turned up I was disappointed that DoDonPachi 3 had been swapped for Raiden Fighters, but I really got into that - it's an awesome game. My hi-score on 1942 is around 315K, which I thought was good until I witnessed John Stoodley stroll to 750K while chatting casually about the weather and sh*t! Could you do a podcast on an obscure vertical shooter?

Great sounding and silky smooth! Just watch your clipping!

Set your audio level about 5-10% lower than your level check as you will get carried away and get louder during the recording (always happens to me during interviews with people).

The other alternative is to get a compressor/limiter however they do need setting up. Which unless you know how to work one is not easy to get right.

However content is king and people will not care if your content is good. Your content is great so no worries there! Shame no interviews but I understand how carried away you got at the event. Gives you another reason to visit a few people and head back up here again at some point I suppose.

Shaun - recommend us an obscure vertical shmup!
Give us some feedback on the web page or something. We are always after ideas for games to play. I have one in mind for next time (as it is my turn next)

I did see alpha1 lifting heavy boxes of control panels up and down a number of times while grunting

Hey Vic n Alex!

Another great podcast guys! :)
Improving all the time and much more relaxed again, which is cool.

As already sent by text and noted by other 'audio tuned' members, just trim the mic gain back a touch and pull a bit further back from the mics (no sucking mic/head as James mentioned at RGP) ;-)

Keep up the great work and look forward to the interviews!!

All - please encourage Alex n Vic and subscribe to the ITunes podcast, leaving feedback, etc. :)

I was going to mention something like Mega Zone, Espial or Vulgus, but I've changed my mind! How about covering Eyes by Rock-Ola? This is an awesome maze shooter with great gameplay which I discovered on MAME years ago. A very addictive game and an underrated gem.

I have given you some feedback after the Super Glob podcast, recommending Road Fighter. I've played that loads since then, and racked up a decent score. A very simple dodge game.

Now playing Rolling Thunder lol!

Shaun - No Quarter have already done a review of Eyes - and it's an awesome, although thoroughly weird little game.

As for the shooters - I actually own Espial and Vulgus pcbs!

The games you recommended will be going on the list now.

*just played mega zone* *like*

I'm not familiar with the No Quarter podcast, although I've heard you mention them a couple of times. I will check them out.

Shooters: Exed Exes / Savage Bees is another good 'un. Vulgus is excellent. I think of it as the game on which Capcom honed their skills before producing the near-perfect 1942!

Hi Guys,

Finally got round to downloading ALL your podcasts to my Ipad....

Needless to say my work day since 07:00 has flown by!

Thanks for all the hard work you've put in to producing these, a massive 1UP for the arcade community.

Great work lads, you selling T-Shirts yet?

Cant wait for the next installment

Regarding the Gyruss it wasn't clocked at 1mill but I got the highest score which was around 730.000...I did roll the planets from Neptune to Earth twice if I remember rightly
