Here in Ten Pence Land it’s a strange old world of travel stipends, best-man forgiveness, experimenting with edibles, Grand Theft Auto BC, and standing on your own two wings. Not to mention my two lovely co-hosts from the world-famous Pie Factory Podcast; Seany C & Jimmy G. They’re not strange by the way; it's just me.
Great to see you both at the recent NERG extravaganza. And what a pleasant surprise to find out that the other names you mention on the podcast belong to actual, real people!
Brilliant!
As for Tinkle Pit, I feel this might have been mis-sold. Contrary to the activities implied by the title, neither micturation nor declivities are involved.
I've been listening to this podcast every day recently. When I described it to a friend I said "it's an arcade podcast presented by a bad-tempered guy who hates almost every game and a crazy guy who likes biscuits". Enjoying it a lot!
Great to hear Shaun, I think you guys complement each other well : the Murtaugh and Riggs of the podcasting world
Still listening to an episode a night. I enjoyed the Vectrex episode recently. Might be interesting to do one for other consoles. You could have one on the Dreamcast since that is also an arcade console at heart.
10p number #178 is oot! Our Featured Game is a lesser known offering from Tehkan called Guzzler. Did we think it was an unusual maze game or a janky mess? Find out here, kids.
I've still been listening to a lot of your old podcasts. Really enjoyed the Bosconian one with Alex and it was interesting to see/hear "The Rise of the Holley" and the "The Mega Zone Incident". I was wondering if Victor still likes the Intellivision? since he's been talking about it a lot in these earlier pods. I had one as a kid and my favourite games for it were Atlantis and Super Cobra. Atlantis works really well with the 16-directional pad because it gives you extra precision with the targeting crosshair.
Also you won't like this but I listened to the Space Firebird episode and really got into the game on MAME. I wouldn't mind getting a cocktail table at some point in the future. Reminds me of the kind of slightly quirky but still good shooter I would see in a chip shop back in the day and then would never see again anyway else.
Thought you guys might find this amusing. I was reading a magazine that came with the newspaper and saw this in an interview with Alex Scott - the ex-footballer lady.
