Dear Vic and Shaun,

I wanted to extend my heartfelt congratulations on reaching the incredible milestone of 200 episodes of the 10 Pence Arcade Podcast! This achievement speaks volumes about your dedication, passion, and the hard work you both have put into making this podcast a beloved part of our lives.

Your podcast has been a delightful journey through the world of arcade gaming, filled with nostalgia, insightful discussions, and plenty of laughter. Each episode showcases your deep knowledge and enthusiasm for the arcade scene, and it's been a joy to listen to your stories, interviews, and banter.

Vic, I want to especially thank you for your contributions and let you know how much you will be missed as you move on to new ventures. Your insights, humor, and personality have been a cornerstone of the podcast, and it won’t be the same without you. However, I am excited for you and wish you all the best in your new tinkering adventures. Your passion and creativity will surely lead to wonderful new projects and experiences.

Thank you both for the countless hours you’ve spent researching, recording, and editing to bring us such high-quality content. Your commitment has not only kept the arcade spirit alive but also built a wonderful community of listeners who share your love for the games and culture.

Here's to celebrating this remarkable milestone and looking forward to many more episodes filled with fun and arcade adventures. Congratulations once again on 200 fantastic episodes, and thank you for all that you do!

With sincere appreciation,

Heisjimmi

Haha isn't ChatGPT BRILLIANT : "write Vic and Shaun a thankyou note for 200 episodes of the 10 pence arcade podcast and let Vic know that I will really miss him when he leaves but wish him all the best for his new ventures into tinkering"

Ok... a few real words to our man Victor Marland aka Virtvic. Thanks Vic for all the years of podcasting - I've been a fan boy since the days of Alex and it is without doubt the best biscuit based arcade podcast in the world, hosted by guys called Vic and Shaun. I still can't believe that you are hanging up your 10 pence and I hold hope that episode 200 won't be the last time we hear your silky tones putting the arcade world to right. It must be comforting to know that the legacy will continue in the capable hands Shaun and his new sidekick and you'll be able to enjoy the podcast as one of us mere muggle listeners. Enjoy your tinkerings..... So long and thanks for all the pish....

Wot he said! You will be missed Vic! 🍪🍩🫓
I'm sorry I never got round to checking my In The Hunt pcb for actual slowdown ... er it probably does? (the last pod I managed to get mid-way through!)

Sadly I've been out of the loop for ruddy yonks and also not able to join in with the 10p HighScores.

But, hopefully I will eventually catch up with all these podcast episodes I've missed over the last few years (if they stay online!) when I'm once again out doing long drives to grab pickups or spending whole afternoons tinkering with my cabinets + projects while the family do dull weekend stuff I don't want to be involved in! 😌
And I'll still have fun playing along belatedly and adding my Arcade Sidekick app scores for the 10pence games I've missed.
Just getting Pirate Ship Higemaru back on the JammyPi for old times sake!

Here's to many more episodes Shaun + new guest people! (y)

I've only ever listened to the last few, I love that you're not even sure if Street Fighter's most recent incarnation is IV or V yet right on the ball with the most important things such as biscuits! 😍

Victor's gone up and left me. Had enough of podcasting he said. Wants to concentrate on his 'tinkerings' he said.
So I sit here crying into my biscuit muesli, wanting to carry on with the show but having no co-host to bounce-off of.
BUT WAIT! A WILD CROWLEY APPEARS!
That's right, Alex from our very own forum is going to join me for some top-notch buffoonery! WE ARE SAVED!
So I'm starting afresh with a new website https://www.tenpencearcade.com/ (note the .COM) and a second chapter in the Ten Pence Story.
Search for the 'Ten Pence Arcade Podcast V.20' (blue logo) in your podcast catcher and we should be there.
I must stress this is seen as new podcast in your pod feed, not a continuation on the old one, which will soon disappear when Vic stops paying the current host, who had started charging him more for extra bandwidth, more for extra uploads, and subscription fee to SEE OUR OWN STATS!
I'm busy uploading all of our back catalog to new a host, so bear with me as this is taking some time.
I've done about 40 of the 206 so far.
Thank you for all the support and some truly heart-warming PMs and real life chats with listeners who just make all the hard work (and fun) worthwhile xxx

Here's a direct link to the show on the website

Great to hear you got Alex. He was my first choice - actually just in front of "Hot girl with sexy voice".

I enjoyed the early pods with Alex. And I thought the episode you did with all 3 of you - you had great chemistry together. So you should def get Vic back in for an episode in future too.

Looking forward to hearing the new pod!

Record sleeves gnawed by a hamster.
Cream licked off ears by a dog.
Dangling his baubles at Christmas.
Sticking cheese down the back of the TV.
'Bundling'.
Psycho horse impression.

Part 2 of the show: Game Review. High Scores. Biscuit review.

Oh, and we're also helped along by 'The Incorrect Announcer'.

Just a quick note to say I am enjoying the new pod. I forgot about it(!) and started listening late but I am catching up now. I enjoyed Alex's reminisces (in the first pod) on his gaming history and it was interesting to hear about the old viewing gallery at Heathrow airport too.

I have a bit of little personal history of Heathrow gaming before family holidays when I was a kid. I particularly remember enjoying Elevator Action before one holiday and Bump 'n' Jump before another. It was very rare we flew anywhere though and I think the next time I took a plane - I was all grown up and all they had was fruit and quiz machines. The last time I flew I didn't see any machines at all!

Don't have much more to say at the moment but the Ghosts N Goblins pod has been my fav so far. Keep it up chaps and please do one of my favs : Altered Beast soon. Should get some interesting opinions on that game!

Ten Pence Arcade Podcast no.207 is out.
Alex and I review Spelunker. It's a bit of a hate / hate relationship with this one :p.
At least the cover image created by @Retro_Russ_ is awesome. https://tenpencearcade.com/e/ten-pence-arcade-207-spelunker/
Also, we have a winner of The Ten Pence High Score League - @r_rygar for the Fourth Year Running! Check the scores here> https://tenpencearcade.com/p/high-scores/
Hurray! I'll listen to this on my 90 minute odyssey round Lidl tomorrow.
