Uh oh. A landmark podcast - 150 - Terra Cresta, and they’ve sent Vic a YTS lad to co host. Don’t be too harsh on him, he’s trying...

Welcome back Shaun! The dream team back together :)

I should probably get around to playing one of the games one month... maybe you could add in second games with custom controls now there's a bit more time to play... I propose Arkanoid :)

Great to have you back Shaun, hope you are both well and surviving the lockdown. I really enjoyed the podcast and have been enjoying this months game (Magical Crystals) too, had never even heard of it before, played it on my cab on Pandoras box, but got my best score on it in MAME. its a fun game, nice catchy music, it had the kids next door leaning over the fence "He has games machines in his shed!" It kept me coming back for more, its all about learning the patterns I guess, I found the weapon you can pick up against the first boss rather annoying, where the character throws a large ball that explodes but its too hard to actually get close to the enemy to throw it. I tried my best to avoid picking up that power up. Will defo play the game some more after this. Cheers

Thanks for the podcasts chaps, and the structure and direction they bring to these strange and shapeless times. Vic and guests have been great, but it's nice to have the dream team back. Welcome home Shaun!

Been doing my best to keep up with the 10p challenges. Terra Crests was OK, but I doubt I'll go back to it. There were just too many small flaws and ropey collision detection to justify the investment of time and energy.

Magical Stars was better. I'd never heard of this one before. If I'd had more time, I reckon I could've beaten it (honest!).

If you're looking for a lesser known classic for a future episode, consider the under-rated Taito shooter, Tokio - aka Scramble Formation. It's a simple game with some nice touches, including a chunky bass thump when you drop a coin in the slot. You know it makes sense...
